Makeup Alert: My M.A.C Eyeshadows

Yoohoo!!!

I figured I should probably post something about makeup on here too, so, I will be presenting my MAC eyeshadow collection. (Warning: It's minuscule xD)
My first EVER colour from MAC was Parfait Amour, a vibrant lilac/purple colour with a Frost finish. I fell in love before I even swatched it, and I still love this colour so, so much.

The second colour I got, drumroll please! Carbon. Yep. I tend to wear a lot of really heavy, dark looks that are generally associated with the "emo" scene... or even "scene" in some cases haha. So I decided I needed a black eyeshadow, and one that would last a long time, cause well, I'll be using it a lot. I was pretty disappointed. As far as black eyeshadows go, it really isn't the best. It looks great in the pan, but when I swatched it, almost no colour came off. I have to put layer upon layer of it to get the black I really want, otherwise it just looks grey. Shame. Everyone knows what carbon looks like right? Not posting a picture.

The next four that I got were:
- Goldenrod
- Orange
- Passionate
- Deep Truth

I got these as a gift from my parents (I picked the colours, I promise) in a four pan palette. My reaction to these is the same as Parfait Amour. They are amazing.

Goldenrod is a vibrant yellow, the warmer one of the two they had. It comes off really pigmented and is really bright. I really like it and I use it a lot, surprisingly enough.

Orange is well... orange. Again a matte finish and really bright and pigmented. I actually broke mine while travelling which is a shame, but there is still a lot of it left so... I use this colour a lot with Goldenrod and Parfait Amour (yes, yes, orange and purple work well together).

Passionate. Now, This is a BRIGHT pink colour, and it's super pigmented. I'm not one for pinks usually, but I had to get this because it was so vibrant. I don't use it nearly as much as Goldenrod or Orange. I actually got it because I needed a red, but they didn't have any more Red Brick so this was the closest I got. I will do a tutorial for a bright look using these three colours at some point soon. Stay tune.

(I believe Passionate was re-released as part of the Fall Colours collection earlier this year...)

AND NOW: Deep Truth.
Holy, this colour is HOLY. It is so versatile, so nice, quite pigmented and gorgeous. This is my go-to colour for evenings where I want some sparkle. I also wear it during the day-time sometimes, as dark as it is, it works. I LOVE this colour and cannot sing it's praises enough. It's kind of a mix of a frosty dark blue and a matte black with some fine glitter thrown in here and there. It is pretty dark, but not so that you can't see the blue. I will also be doing a tutorial for this sometime soon.

Finally, the last colour I have from MAC is Era. I got this literally 5 days ago, to replace a nude I've been using recently for everyday simple school looks. I will never replace this colour. I will purchase and repurchase this as long as it exists. Because man, do I love it. I had never heard of the colour. I'm serious, I swear nobody has it, probably because it passes off as quite plain. It's not overly shimmery and it's very neutral and unnoticeable.
It looks darker in the picture than it actually is, I think. It has a Satin finish and is absolutely stunning. It would go well with Patina or Naked Lunch I think. It works nicely as a crease colour or as an all-over-the-lid colour. I have a tutorial for the look I usually do with it, but it is just so versatile it would work in any way, on anyone, no matter your skin tone (I think. Just remember to always swatch where you can.)

So that's it for my MAC eyeshadow collection. I will be getting new ones hopefully soon, as I'm saving up to get more.

xx Atomic Rainbow
